Rain stops play...

Today has been mostly wet! While this has stopped a lot of the excavation work, we have all been kept busy cleaning, sorting, and recording finds. It's hard to believe that we are already at the end of the first week. However, Finn managed to find a dry spell to snap this atmospheric shot which he is kindly letting me share. One thing is certain, when a tropical storm hits, you know about it! I took this video footage just so you guys could see why we decided to opt for dry work today.

Despite the wet weather, the mood of the team has been positive. I decided to take the opportunity to interview our Grenadian students. This week has been their first experience of a real archaeological excavation and I thought it would be nice to see what they thought about the project...
